a. appropriate choice of heater size, power and shap

While choosing your dryer-heater, remember that:

  • hanging clothes to dry will reduce its power output, so you will need a more powerful heater;
  • the model of your choice should have the right shape to facilitate hanging of moist laundry, so pay attention to the following:
    • shape of the transverse pipes
    • distances between the pipes

IMPORTANT: Electric heater power may not exceed the capacity of the heater to which it is to be applied (parameters: 75/65/20).

b. choice of accessories, heater type and hangers

Proper accessories will make your heater work more effectively.
Electric heater:

  • enables you to use the heater all year long, not only during the heating season;
  • lets you control the operating time and temperature of your heater (see electric heaters).

Hangers:

  • can increase surface area to be dried;
  • will facilitate the use of the heater (see hangers).

IMPORTANT: Electric heater power may not exceed the capacity of the heater to which it is to be applied (parameters: 75/65/20).

c. proper location of the heater

While choosing where to install your dryer-heater, remember that heating will be most efficient if:

  • the heater is as close to the floor as possible, as heated air always rises and cold air descends;
  • the heater is hung underneath or close to the window;
  • there is no ventilation grid directly above the heater which will draw heated air out, thus decreasing the room temperature.

It is not advisable to mount heaters directly above bathtubs, close to washbasins, showers or toilets. Mounting in such locations considerably reduces the life of the heater’s finish.
